Move-up buyers sold their home for $35,000 more with RemodelB4Sale

Our Oakland clients had a growing family and were looking for more space. They had an over-sized finished basement typical for the Oakland area that was not configured to maximize its potential use.

Especially with COVID-19, the idea of a separate, finished office was really an appealing thought to make better use of space for this 800 sqft floorplan. We cleaned up the basement, sectioned off an official office area, and made a more functional laundry room. We also pulled together a common theme to make this tiny yard feel usable.

​Our Seller's passed on a lot of upgrades for their happy new Buyers, and made a 60% return on their renovation investment is less than 1 month.

The basement was opened to the garage and parking area, making for a cluttered and drafty workout room on bare concrete floors

We framed in, insulated, and sheetrocked our walls, re-poured and leveled the floors, and added ductwork, and finished with carpet.

The RemodelB4Sale team also put carpet over tile in the bedrooms to give the home a warmer feel. A fresh coat of paint in the kitchen nicely capped the updates to present a modern, clean new look. 
In the end, we closed $35,000 higher than our pre-renovation price. Our clients spent $20,000 to create a functional office for their buyers, refresh paint upstairs, and really clean up their tiny backyard. The extra dollars helped our clients with their new home and new baby on the way.
